Movie Seen – Act Of Valor
I was really surprised by this film - military war movies are not my favourite genre but this was truly well done. The winning solution? Use real soldiers for the leads instead of actors. It really worked. The rest of the cast was made up of proper actors and the directing (by 2 people) was outstanding. It was gritty, bold, exciting, tense, humbling, and thoughtful. The music was grand, the photography beautiful, the action unrelenting. At times, not an easy film to watch, but then that was it's final true power - realistic. Hats off to the soldiers who said yes. Go see it.
